We were really excited about the wedding this Canadian couple were planning in Grand Cayman because we realised from the beginning this wouldn't be a cookie cutter wedding.  First of all, they wanted to arrive at the wedding site on horses, so we got the opportunity to wtrk with Paul and Chelsea Rivers of "Spirit of the West".  Second of all. we got to use a new beach, (for us) and Maria got to scout around looking for new wedding locations.

Bride, and Groom arrive on horseback

The wedding took place at Barkers Beach, which is near Pappagallo.  The bride made her own wedding outfit.

They had a canter along this stretch of deserted beach before the ceremony

The ceremony was performed by our associate Rev. Harold Paramlall, and attended by family members. Some parts of the event had a distinctly Caymanian flavour, eg in our tradition, the groom must remove the bride's garter with his teeth, no hands!

Success with the garter

This was one of our more unusual weddings, but everybody enjoyed it. If you want an unusual feature to your Cayman wedding, be sure to make us know.
